We, WIM, are very proud to let you know that our debut album has just been released!

Blood, sweat and the odd tear went into this record’s creation and were so happy to finally be able to send it out into the ether. Together, with a wonderful team of music makers, producers (Tony Buchen and Bob Clearmountain), mixers (Bob Clearmountain), masterers (Bob Ludwig) and soothsayers, we all felt like we were heading towards somewhere special, somewhere unique. And we have taken our time making sure we had it right.

The album was recorded in Los Angeles in what were magical, heady times for us. Indeed, the times of our lives. The process of it’s inception and its creation will be forever held dear.

And now… (brief pause) it is time celebrate this album’s completion and release…
Here is how you can discover the album:

About:

“Wim is getting a lot of early "Rufus Wainwright fronting Grizzly Bear" descriptions, which is a pretty fair place to start…it's no mixing trick -- in person the band murders four-part harmonies that will leave you dizzy and haunted for the whole ride home.” – Los Angeles Times

“It’s strange to see a band who outwardly seem to be mismatched in the way they dress or their general appearance, but who go on to prove that they are in tune musically.” – One Thirty BPM

Australia’s latest export, WIM have announced that they will be making their way to New York, playing four very special CMJ showcases followed by two headlining shows. This unique Sydney-based five-piece –which will be releasing their self-titled debut on November 15th on Modular Recordings—have also released an amazing new live video for “See You Hurry”.

WIM creates beautifully dense and catchy tunes, filled with lush harmonies, reverb-drenched guitars and colossal choruses. Live, their tripartite frontline dazzles with the twin attacks of a floor tom-pounding keyboardist and bow-strumming guitarist. This is all instantly crystallized in a vocalist whose spine-tingling falsettos are as reliable as his not wearing shoes. You do not want to miss out on these swoon-worthy performances in New York!
